Formerly known as The Rooms of Knutsford, our new name better reflects both the services we provide and the ethos that guides our work. Neurodivergent Perspectives expresses the way we value and celebrate the many different ways people experience the world.
By recognising these unique perspectives, we can offer more tailored strategies, more meaningful communication, and a deeper understanding of each individual.
Although our name has changed, we remain the same thoughtful, compassionate, and neuroaffirmative multidisciplinary team – dedicated to supporting you with the same care and expertise you have always known us for.
At Neurodivergent Perspectives, we are a thoughtful, compassionate, and neuroaffirmative multidisciplinary team of like-minded clinicians committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that every assessment is thorough, person-centred, and informed by the latest research, leading to accurate diagnoses and meaningful recommendations for support.
While we recognise the importance of diagnosis, we place equal emphasis on creating detailed neurodevelopmental profiles that celebrate each individual’s unique strengths and differences. Our aim is not to provide therapy directly, but to clarify how different factors interact with a person’s wider neurodevelopmental profile. Findings can then be shared with third-party supportive services to help guide the most effective support. By building this deeper understanding, we are able to recommend tailored strategies that empower individuals – and those around them – to thrive.
A Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a group of professionals from different fields who work together to assess, diagnose, and support individuals with neurodevelopmental differences. Each team member brings their own area of expertise, ensuring a comprehensive, holistic approach to understanding a person’s strengths, challenges, and needs. Our MDT includes Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Neurodevelopmental Assessors, Speech and Language Therapists, Mental Health Specialists, Cognition and Learning Specialists and Specialist Specific Learning Differences Diagnostic Assessors.
In line with the guidelines set by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), an assessment service should be made up of appropriately qualified allied health professionals from different health and education related disciplines.
By working collaboratively, our MDT ensures that assessments capture the full picture of an individual’s experiences, reducing the risk of misdiagnosis or overlooked needs. This approach is especially beneficial for complex cases, where traits of different neurodivergences all overlap, or where masking and camouflaging may make traditional assessments more challenging.
